Paul Harris is a prominent figure in the world of Ballroom dancing, having been one of the most successful Juvenile and Junior competitors ever. He won the British, United Kingdom and International Championship in both Ballroom and Latin American Dancing and then became the United Kingdom, West European and 3 times English Latin American Champion as well as placing in the first 3 of every other major competition, including the World Championship, as an adult.  He was the winner of the British Professional Exhibition title. (Theatrical Ballroom dancing).
 
He has choreographed Ballroom dancing in it’s Historical context, for major film and television productions, including Crooked House, The Halcyon, Poirot, South Riding, A Touch of Frost, Call the Midwife and in the theatre he has choreographed productions of Dancing at Lughnasa, The American Clock and the UK National tour of Wallflowering, all including Ballroom Dancing. He was the Main Mentor in the Kickboxer to Ballroom episode of the multi-award winning Faking It.
 
Paul has coached and choreographed Professional World Champions in Ballroom dancing as well as several of the Professional Dancers and judges on Strictly Come Dancing (UK version of Dancing With The Stars). Paul Harris has also played a significant role in the development of Ballroom and Latin American dancing in the Philippines, where has coached every Philippine National Champion in both Ballroom and Latin American, from 2000 to the present day. One of the couples he trained, went on to become the first Philippine couple ever to win the Senior Latin American Championship at the Blackpool Dance Festival. Paul has worked with Studio 116 in Manila for over 15 years, producing 2 couples (one in Ballroom and one in Latin American) that won Gold medals at two, South East Asian Games. His influence on Ballroom dancing in Asia extends to Singapore and Thailand, were he has coached Professional Latin American Champions of both countries. 
 
Paul Harris’s London Theatre of Ballroom, was founded in 1996 and was the first Ballroom-based theatre company in the U.K. The company had a critically acclaimed, 6 month run at the Cafe de Paris in London’s Leicester Square, presenting theatrical Ballroom dancing, weekly, in a 6 show repertoire. London Theatre of Ballroom also performed in exclusive hotels and venues around London, at the Gatehouse Theatre in Hampstead and appeared as part of the Kyushu Dance festival in Japan, as well as opening the World Professional Ballroom Championships.
 
He is a Fellow and Examiner of the UKA (United Kingdom Alliance of Professional Teachers of Dancing), an Honorary Lifetime Member of the Philippine Dance Teachers Association and he has written syllabi used by the IDTA, the BATD and the NATD.  As a judge, he has adjudicated at World Championships and other major competitions in venues such as the Kremlin Great Hall, Raffles Hotel in Singapore and many times at the famous Blackpool Dance Festival.
